Visitor Protocol

Required Identification
To ensure the security of Draper Laboratory personnel and technology, all visitors must show government-issued photographic identification, such as a driver’s license, in order to gain admittance to Draper’s facilities.
Those who are not U.S. citizens, but who have been approved for a visit to Draper Laboratory must provide the following identification:

  • Resident aliens must show their permanent residence visas (Green Cards).
  • Foreign nationals who do not possess Green Cards should schedule their visits at least one week in advance and must present their passports or visas as identification.

Restricted Equipment
Photographic and recording devices may not be brought into Draper Laboratory. These include cameras, videotaping equipment, or tape recorders. If you have a cell phone or another type of personal electronic device capable of taking pictures or recording audio or video, those features may not be used inside the Lab. You must leave your phone outside any SCIF, Closed Area, or conference room where a classified meeting is taking place. All foreign national visitors must leave their cell phone at the reception desk.

Laptop computers must be registered with the guard upon entry, and they cannot be connected to Draper’s network.
