Our people—empowered by the diversity of their backgrounds, experiences, training and ideas—enable Draper to innovate industry-leading solutions to the most challenging engineering problems. Through collaboration, our employees inspire each other to achieve. These achievements are the foundation of Draper’s success. Draper works continually to realize an inclusive and team-oriented workplace culture that will help Draper community members thrive in their work and careers.
Shaping workplace culture through our core values, Draper wants employees to live our shared values—and wants employees to hold Draper accountable for aligning its actions with the core values. As a People First organization, Draper engages employees at all levels of the organization to identify opportunities to enhance our work environment. Members of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) Committee, including our Employee Resource Group (ERG) leaders and DE&I Co-Leads advise Draper’s leadership team and work with them on planning and implementing initiatives that celebrate our diversity and advance Draper’s mission.
In 2021, Draper took another step in realizing its vision of inclusiveness by adding the Principal Director for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion role to its senior leadership team. We are defining a DE&I mission and strategy that will move Draper into its next phase of being a workplace of choice for the diverse talent of the U.S. workforce.
In addition to helping the leadership team advance DE&I at Draper, the Principal Director for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion will provide leadership, subject-matter expertise and support to employees, including the employee-led ERGs. Each ERG was formed by groups of employees with a common bond or shared background. For individual employees, they provide a supportive community resource. To the benefit of the whole Draper community, they partner with other organizations (inside and outside the company) to enhance Draper’s diversity and inclusivity.
