Draper Teams Up with Cambridge Fire Department for Toys for Tots
CAMBRIDGE, MA—Draper once again partnered with the Cambridge Fire Department in collecting hundreds of toys for the annual Toys for Tots toy drive. This year Draper continued a 14-year-long holiday tradition by raising $9,350 and using it to purchase toys for the national charitable program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve since 1947. In raising the funds, Draper matched employees’ contributions dollar for dollar for a combined total large enough to buy six bins of toys that a toy brigade of employees loaded into a fire department vehicle. Scott Lennox, an organizer for Draper’s toy drive, said, “Every year Draper enjoys supporting Toys for Tots in partnership with the Cambridge Fire Department and making the holidays a little brighter for underprivileged children.” During the event, Acting Cambridge Fire Chief Gerry Mahoney thanked Draper, and said, “We sincerely hope that this donation makes the holidays a little happier for those who need help.” The Cambridge Fire Department is a collection point for Toys for Tots.
