Announcing the Speakers and Sponsors for the Space Sector Market Conference Hosted by AUVSI New England

CAMBRIDGE, MA—Today, Draper and AUVSI New England announce the speakers and sponsors of the Space Sector Market Conference. Speakers, who include senior leaders in academia, industry, financial markets and government, will be in attendance for the inaugural in-person and virtual gathering on September 28, 29 and 30. The Space Sector Market Conference includes the COSMIC business pitch competition.

The Space Sector Market Conference (SSMC) is being hosted by AUVSI New England, and it has been founded by a group of organizations across market sectors in space business, including Draper, MIT AeroAstro, 9.8 Capital, Potomac Institute for Policy Studies, STR and Xplore. SSMC will bring together technologists, investors, government officials and business leaders on various issues. The conference agenda features sessions on space capital and investing in space; creating the space ecosystems in the 2020s; big data and cyber security; and space sustainability.

SSMC will take place in Cambridge, Mass., and virtually via the Whova event application. During the event, attendees will have opportunities to engage with top government space leadership, commercial space investors and academic talent.

The keynote address will be delivered by Lt. Gen. John E. Shaw, Deputy Commander, U.S. Space Command.

Think Tank topics during the three-day conference will cover a range of topics, including cyber innovations; satellite congestion command and control; trusted capital and supply chain; space data transfer; data access rights and quality of service; international data usage policy; cybersecurity and ground entry points; advanced power and cislunar orbits; orbit refueling and life extension; and the space industrial base.
