Tara S. Clark: A 2017 Woman to Watch

CAMBRIDGE, MA – Tara S. Clark, vice president of commercial business at Draper, has been recognized as one of the Boston Business Journal’s 2017 Woman to Watch in Science and Technology. Clark is one of ten women selected for the 2017 list, which includes technology and business leaders and innovators who are building new companies and driving established science and technology companies in new directions. More than 60 women were nominated this year.

Clark, who joined Draper in 2016, has more than 25 years of experience in corporate and entrepreneurial settings. She has held executive roles in large companies like Miltenyi and Baxter, and now manages a commercial business comprised of biomedical solutions, transport and energy and Sembler, a Draper initiative that brings engineering services to the startup community.

According to Kaigham J. Gabriel, President and CEO, “Draper’s fastest growth segment is our commercial business, which is a testament to the leadership, experience and innovation of Tara Clark. Since Tara joined the company, Draper has secured millions of dollars of new contracts with internationally recognized companies across our business units. We applaud Tara for this honor and all of those recognized as Women to Watch in 2017.”

The 14th annual Women to Watch awards breakfast takes place on Feb. 16 at the Ritz-Carlton Boston Hotel.
