Draper Acquires Property, Plans Expansion in Titusville, Florida
CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—Draper, a nonprofit engineering innovation company, today announced it has acquired 5.295 acres of land from North American Properties in Titusville, Fla., within Riverfront Center development near the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.
Located at 6428 Riverfront Center Boulevard, the location will enable Draper to provide engineering and research and development services for its customers principally in national security, space systems and electronic systems.
North American Properties was the property seller and will be serving as the property development partner, which includes leading the permitting and construction of this state-of-the-art facility.
“We are truly excited to expand our national presence with this new campus in Florida,” said Dr. Jerry M. Wohletz, president and CEO of Draper. “As a company dedicated to serving the nation’s interests, Draper is on a mission to meet our next customers, partners and employees where they live and work. In our efforts to expand our presence, we placed great value on the talent pool, access to various markets and cultural diversity, making Florida our ideal destination. We are excited to help more customers realize the benefits of our services from our newest campus in the US.”
Draper has been addressing the growing need for engineering innovation since 1933 and has been rapidly expanding its national footprint. The new campus in Titusville will be Draper’s third in Florida, after St. Petersburg and Cape Canaveral, and tenth nationwide. The new location will give the company access to increased resources and the ability to accomplish its top priority, to develop and deliver innovations in the national interest and to support national security missions.
“In 2022, Draper saw most business growth from outside of our campus in Cambridge. The Florida market is critical to our success and expanding our presence in Florida is an important step as we continue to deliver for our customers,” said Wohletz.
