Draper Awarded Production Contract to Deliver Strategic Guidance Capability to U.S. Navy

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—The U.S. Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) has awarded Draper a new contract to manufacture the Trident II D5 Submarine-Launched Ballistic Missile Guidance System. The company currently serves in that role under a previous contract. 

Under the new contract, Draper will continue its long-standing partnership with the U.S. Navy in the design analysis, testing, procurement, manufacturing and maintenance of the Trident guidance systems in support of the U.S. Navy Strategic Systems Programs.

The contract is for $90,689,939 with a total value, including all options, if exercised, of $329,980,380. Work will be performed in Cambridge, Mass.; Pittsfield, Mass.; and Clearwater, Fla., and is expected to be completed by September 2028.This contract was awarded as a sole-source acquisition pursuant to 10 U.S. Code 2304(c)(1).
