Draper Hosts Delegation from Utah State Legislature

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Draper recently hosted a delegation from the Utah state legislature for a tour of the company’s facilities and a discussion of the company’s ability to design, develop and produce advanced solutions for some of the nation’s most challenging problems.

The delegation included 15 legislators from the Utah House of Representatives and the Director of Government Relations and Special Projects at Weber State University who learned about Draper’s core engineering capabilities and innovations in strategic defense, space systems, electronic systems, and biomedical technology. The group also discussed the contribution Draper’s Utah campus will make to the regional economy and the impact of Draper’s education mission on Utah’s colleges and universities.

Paul Hendrickson, Program Director, Air Force ICBM Modernization and Utah Campus Site Lead for Draper, said, “It was an outstanding opportunity to host the delegation and to help them better understand what we do. The visit further strengthened our growing relationships with the State of Utah as we work together to expand our workforce and capabilities out West.”

Draper recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new facility at Hill Air Force Base in Utah. The new facility will support Draper’s core engineering and design capabilities, including model-based systems engineering and simulation, development and testing of advanced guidance and navigation components (internal measurement units, accelerometers, gyroscopes, and atomic clocks), and the design of high assurance microelectronic systems. Construction of the building is scheduled for completion in Fall of 2026.
